The Frank Sinatra Radio Collection


Frank Sinatra began his musical career in the swing era with Harry James and Tommy Dorsey. Sinatra quickly became a successful solo artist in the early to mid-1940s, and was the idol of the "bobby soxers." In May 1941, Sinatra was at the top of the male singer polls in the Billboard and Down Beat magazines. These rare radio broadcast are from the 1940s sponsored by Old Gold Cigarettes. Most every week, Frank is joined by guest stars like Ginny Simms, Frances Langford, Louis Prima, Bob Hope and others. This collection includes 14 original half-hour broadcast.
