The Adventures of Philip Marlowe - Vol. 1 - Old Time Radio
The Adventures of Philip Marlowe - Volume One - Old Time Radio Classics: The Adventures of
Philip Marlowe came to Radio in the Summer of 1947 as a Pepsodent
Program replacement for their wildly popular show starring Bob Hope and
his ensemble. But this version last only 13 episodes. It took another
year to bring Philip Marlowe to the air on a regular basis. Superb voice
talent Gerald Mohr was tapped for Philip Marlowe airing on CBS. Mohr
was a natural to reinvigorate the Philip Marlowe character. A master of
dialects and one of Radio's most versatile leads, Gerald Mohr forged yet
another new take on the hard-boiled PI. Volume One includes 16 full-length episodes on 8 CDs. Check it out along with 3 other volumes available from Nostalgia Merchant.
