First airing as the hour-long summer replacement for The Jackie Gleason Show, the show returned as a weekly half-hour series during the 1955-56 season. Stage Show is now best remembered as the show where Elvis Presley made his national TV debut. Beginning on 1/28/1956, the future "King" would make a total of six appearances.
