Beulah
Beulah is the maid of Harry and Alice Henderson and she is constantly getting into trouble when she attemps to solve household problems for the Hendersons and their son Donnie. She is assisted in her efforts by boyfriend/handyman Bill Jackson and Oriole, the next door neighbors’ maid. Originally starring Ethel Waters, then Hattie McDaniels, who died after starring in only six episodes, then Louise Beavers and Amanda Randolph. This is a real treasure. Enjoy it. Some of the episodes have the original commercials. 1950 – BW – 30 Minutes Per Episode. Available on DVD from MyVideoClassics.Like Amos and Andy, this show is consider politically incorrect. Most of the original films were destroyed long ago. These five shows are most likely, the only one’s in existence.
